The search


For every active job hunter applying to adverts there is at least one passive prospect, the passive prospect is not spending time searching for a new job, but will respond to well judged approaches. We can't expect active job hunters to upload their CV to every platform and apply for every job, that's why I use multiple platforms . Passive job hunters have a very low response rate, that's why I personalise my approach, because people are more likely to respond if the message is personal.  This is an intelligent headhunt rather than generated spam from an algorithm.

With over 20 years experience sourcing talent for the IT sector I have a wealth of experience across technology platforms, software engineering practices and job role responsibilities. This experience allows me to understand a client brief and establish the profile which will succeed in an organisation. Following interviews with candidates I am able to benchmark against success factors and deliver a short list.

Following my own research on your company and sector, I'll ask for a small amount of your time to discuss the vacancy and understand what makes a good hire for you.  In addition, I'll be looking to define what makes your vacancy compelling to prospective candidates.   I want to be fully armed to promote your position.

I've invested in the premier recruiter tools and services such CV access and advertising with recognised sites such as Jobsite and Reed.  Linkedin premium services which offer sophisticated search and alerts.  State-of-the-art CRM application which has a candidate database I have been harvesting for over 10 years.

Time and Knowledge

The experience and skills I have coupled with the tools and services I utilise allow me to target and search candidates effectively.  However, commitment to running a full search, persistence and being flexible for out of hour interviews and knowledge of how to approach candidates to gain a positive response is key to a successful search
